I attended the Raphael Saadiq concert last night at House of Blues-Sunset, and this was another WORTH the wait concert, with performance starting after 10:30pm Saadiq put on a great performance! He performed songs from The Way I See It his new album and took it back to Instant Vintage performing Be Here one of my favorite songs!
The live band made me appreciate this concert much more, their image with the fitted suits and skinny ties seemed to be inspired by 60's Motown Artist eventhough he is signed with Sony BMG, Columbia Records.

This whole album is good! Q-Tip featured artist such as Raphael Saadiq, Amanda Diva, Norah Jones and D'Angelo, he also produced most of this album but did have help from J Dilla (one of my FAVORITE producers!).

FOR THE LATE BIRDS!!

Drake is the name of this new upcoming artist, If you haven't heard about him check his new mixtape IT'S WORTH IT! It was released on February 13 entitled So Far Gone. He has proven to many other rappers that he's ready to make a name for himself!
The mixtape contains 18 tracks, featuring artists such as Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Peter Bjorn & John, Lloyd, Lykke Li, Santogold, Bun B, and Omarion.
I love the selection of artist he chose to feature on this mixtape, I can't wait for Drakes' major label debute album tentatively titled Thank Me Later which is projected to be released sometime this year too!

Ryan Leslie R&B singer/Producer finally debuted his album on the 10th, "How it Was Supposed To Be" being his third single on his Ryan Leslie official album. This is the second video out of three that he made for this song with a little help from Tyson Beckford (Co-Directing) the video. The first one has more of a rock sound and the third one has yet to be released.

His album is WORTH buying!! It's been on my playlist for the past week!

FROM MUSIC TO SPORTS!!!

When I created this blog I wanted to concentrate on the music movement, but after attending a Lakers' game and having amazing seats I figure there wouldn’t be anything wrong with a mixture of music and sports!!

LOS ANGELES, LAKERS
I attended the Los Angles Lakers’ vs. New Orleans Hornets game on Friday night, and it was the most exciting game I have EVER attended!! Going into OT the Lakers beat New Orleans 115-111.

The most exciting play of the night was when Lakers' Derek Fisher made a three-point shot to tie the game against New Orleans in the final seconds of the fourth quarter which of course led into over time!

I attended the Kanye West vh1 Storytellers concert yesterday IT WAS WORTH IT!! I couldn't get an actual picture (sorry). I now know and understand why Kanye is successful in the game! West is very detail and makes sure every beat is on point, he seems to be really passionate about his work! Once he performed he did a few Q&A's and was really inspiring to listen to.

MY FIRST CONCERT!!!!!

I was going thru my picture album and I came across pictures of my first real BIG concert, I attended. I remember this concert like if it was yesterday!! I had the best seat!! and as you can tell the best pictures of my favorite artist (Jay-Z).I also remember what I paid for the ticket but IT WAS WORTH IT!!! and specially when he had friends such as Mary J, Foxy Brown, Freeway, DMX and Method Man join him on stage.
